It is Jeroen talking. Do I really need to give any other reason for attending? As I am missing the beginning of the partner conference, I need one. I am interested to hear their approach with xDB for this problem. They conceived of it just before the last EMC World, but it wasn’t fully flushed out. Want to see how real this is.
EMC World 2011: Documentum Architecture Part 2
This is the second part of Jeroen’s Architecture series. The first half was fun, but this half promises to be more so as a live, crazy demo has been promised. This one is also covering the Next Generation Information Server (NGIS).
EMC World 2011: RESTful SOA and the Spring Framework
Very excited that I get to see Cornelia Davis speak this year. Last year I had to go catch a train during her presentation so I wasn’t going to miss this year. Conelia used to be part of Documentum (eRoom before that) and is now a Senior Technologist with EMC’s CTO Office. This topic is pretty important because I think that this framework is influencing the Next Generation Content Server (NGIS).
EMC World 2011: Documentum Performance and Scalability, Part 2
This is the second half of Ed Bueche’s annual performance session. This is a standard must attend of every Momentum and I’m not going anywhere.
EMC World 2011: Documentum Performance and Scalability, Part 1
This is Ed Bueche’s annual performance session. This is a standard must attend of every Momentum. Coffee in-hand I am ready to listen to Ed impart his wisdom upon us.
EMC World 2011: Jeetu’s Documentum Update
Time for Jeetu Patel’s keynote. Expecting some more details on yesterday’s announcements. Not expecting anything earth-shattering, just some more insight into what questions I need to be asking next. Not going to repeat details from Rick’s keynote in these notes.
EMC World 2011: xCP & Documentum Platform Product Roadmap
Now John McCormick, Sr Director of Product Management, is going to give the roadmap. Very refreshingly to see xCP and Documentum listed separately again. Going to be interesting to see what dates they are willing to throw out there. Lots of real work to some of what they are doing.

EMC World 2011: Momentum Keynote
Ladies and Gentlemen, the session we have been waiting for, the keynote. Will be interesting to hear what Rick Devenuti says. I already know he is a better presenter than Mark Lewis, but let’s focus on the content. Based upon what I heard from the European Momentum and saw at AIIM, it should be better.
This is just the notes. Analysis will follow later. Enjoy.
EMC World 2011: Documentum (IIG) Architecture, Part 1
This is a promising session, even if Jeroen had to rename the slide from IIG Architecture to Documentum architecture in front of our eyes. As to why, first, it is Victor’s old session which was also a must attend. Second, Jeroen van Rotterdam, the Chief Architect of the IIG Division, is always a fun and entertaining presenter.
EMC World 2011: Documentum Web Services Overview and Strategy
Ahson Ahmad and Norrie Quinn are starting things off this Momentum talking about the Web Services. Not expecting too much new, but you never know. Hopefully some good information on the REST interfaces.
